Five researchers from CEMDATIC attended the Optoelectronics National Conference (OPTOEL2025), held in Terrassa during the first week of July. They presented their latest research across diverse fields, including fiber sensors, photonic integrated circuits, and photonic devices.
The event was a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the Spanish photonics community, exchange ideas, and explore new avenues for collaboration between research groups.
A special congratulations goes to our colleague Dr. Javier Pereiro García, who was awarded the “María Victoria Pérez Martín” Prize, sponsored by OPTICA. This award, open to all categories, recognized his work entitled
“Orbital Angular Momentum Multiplexing Employing Liquid Crystal Reconfigurable Devices.”
We’re also thrilled to announce that CEMDATIC will host the next edition of OPTOEL in 2027, which will take place at ETSI Telecomunicación – Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. We look forward to welcoming the national photonics community to our city —see you in Madrid!
