On March 17, CEMDATIC had the honor of welcoming Yann Amouroux, Director of OPTICA Europe, for a meeting focused on promoting research and innovation in the field of optical and photonic technologies.

During the visit, the center’s main lines of work were presented, along with several ongoing projects related to applied optics, advanced communications, and emerging technologies. The visit provided an enriching space for dialogue, where potential avenues for collaboration and strategic synergies between both institutions were explored.

Current challenges in the sector were also discussed, as well as the key role played by organizations such as OPTICA in promoting knowledge, technology transfer, and the connection between the scientific community and industry.
